Our Strength & Shine Complex, found exclusively in Good Juju shampoo & conditioner bars, is a special formulation of three powerful plant nutrients, rich in antioxidants, polyphenols, and anti-inflammatory properties.
Sacha Inchi Oil, Broccoli Seed Oil, and Snow Mushroom Extract work together in perfect harmony to penetrate your hair, making it stronger and more resilient to styling and environmental exposures, while coating it for shine and softness like you’ve never felt before.
Every year, we send 3 billion plastic shampoo & conditioner bottles to our landfills. But here's the good news – With just one shampoo bar, you can reduce that number by three.
Shampoo Bar FAQ
Why should I switch to solid?
Did you know that typical liquid shampoos and conditioners can be as much as 95% water? By going solid and eliminating the water, our concentrated shampoo and conditioner bars contain only the effective, all-natural ingredients you need for stronger, shinier, healthier hair.
Reducing the water also means reducing the waste. Annually, 80 billion plastic bottles are manufactured into existence for liquid shampoo and conditioners alone. Our packaging is plastic-free, and uses only 100% post-consumer recycled content.
Let’s be real – you also you need a product that works. We use only scientifically-proven, all-natural ingredients, so you can trust our bars to cleanse, protect, hydrate, and leave your hair looking and feeling its best.
How do I store my shampoo bar?
The best place to store a shampoo or conditioner bar is on a soap dish, so it can drain & air dry properly between uses. The ingredients are water-activated, so if the bar remains wet it will soften and break down prematurely. The key to making your bar last as long as possible is to keep it dry when not in use.
Do shampoo bars lather?
Absolutely! Though lather isn’t an indication of how effectively a shampoo will clean, we know how nice that rich, foamy experience can be. Rest assured – we’ve got you lather lovers covered.
How many washes can I get from a shampoo bar?
How long your bar lasts will depend on the length and thickness of your hair, how often you wash, and how you care for your bar.
On average, our bars should last for as many as 75 washes.
Because our shampoo bars are highly concentrated, you should be able to get as many washes out of them as 3 regular bottles of liquid shampoo, with no plastic bottle to dispose of afterward.
Are Good Juju shampoo bars safe for colour-treated hair?
Yes! Our shampoo and conditioner bars are safe for colour-treated hair.
What is the shelf life of a shampoo bar?
We recommend that you use our bars within a year of purchase. Be sure to keep them in a cool, dry place until you’re ready to use them. Truthfully, you can store them for longer and it won’t have any impact on their effectiveness, but you may notice the scent start to fade, and the colour change slightly.
Once you start using a bar, be sure to store it in a way that will permit it to dry thoroughly between uses. A soap dish with proper drainage is ideal.
I've been on the hunt for hair products that are better for me and better for the planet but I also suffer from scalp psoriasis and have curly hair. This scalp care shampoo smells fantastic and I love how easy it is to use (first time trying a bar shampoo). I think it's making my scalp feel slightly better but I also think it's leaving my curls a little dull. Right now I'm finishing off a conditioner of another brand that I love for my curls but it tends to make my scalp itchier. I think I'll have enough of that conditioner to get me through this scalp shampoo bar and then I plan to try the Good Juju Curly shampoo and conditioner bars next. I'm hopeful that once I've switched completely, my scalp will continue to improve. I also am hopeful that the bars formulated for curly hair will leave my hair a bit more manageable than this scalp bar seems to. I've only used this bar a handful of times but I do think it is starting to help my scalp. For reference, I wash my hair only 2 times per week and just use water and sometimes a foam to freshen my curls in between washes.
I have struggled to find a shampoo bar that could help with my dry scalp and dandruff until I tried this bar!
Love this shampoo. My scalp is no
longer itchy since I’ve starting using this shampoo. It lathers up nicely and leaves my hair so soft. Was hesitant to switch to bar shampoo but I like it better than the liquids I’ve used in the past.
What I love about Good Juju's Scalp Care Shampoo Bar:
+ doesn't make my scalp itch (I have eczema and tons of allergies)
+ doesn't dry out my hair
+ good lather
I thought I would give the shampoo bar and conditioner a try as my scalp gets itchy once Fall rolls around, particularly the occiput. The combination of the two really seems to help. I struggled with a conditioner bar originally, but now my hair is shorter it seems to work much better.
I love this product. It lathers up well and my hair feels so clean after a shampoo.
No plastic container so good for environment. Have been using for about two years
Love how my hair feels afterwards 😊
really helped with itchyness
