We are super excited to announce that this year we have chosen to support Ocean Wise’s Seaforestation initiative, dedicated to growing and restoring kelp forests at scale.
Why Kelp?
Because Kelp forests are essential to countering the effects of global warming. Kelp grows 30 times faster than trees, and while providing a rich habitat for marine life and protecting our coastlines from erosion, it also naturally captures carbon in significant volumes, trapping much of it in the ocean floor for centuries.
But shrinking kelp forests need our protection! That’s why we’re so thrilled to go all-in with Ocean Wise as our environmental protection partner for 2022. Every Good Juju order placed this year will contribute directly to the protection and revitalization of these absolutely crucial seaforests.
